PICTURE DAY - MARCH 6
Dear Parents,
The Sesame Street Live trip was a great success with the children. Parents also seemed to be having a great time. There was some confusion with the seating but all turned out well.
We will not be attending the Circus this year as it is a little too long for the children and leaving is always too chaotic.
We are having an Open House for the 2's and 3's on March 11 at 10:00 a. m. ; to fill the afternoon places. We are also having an Open House for the Pre kindergarten on March 25 at 10:00 a. m.
We would like to congratulate the Murray/Duffy Family on the births of Fiona and Fineas; Alexandra is a big sister.
March Birthdays
Ella Incantalupo March 1
Greyson Wiensenack March 28
Parent / Teacher Conferences begin March 17. The teachers will have schedules posted outside their rooms. Please be on time as fellow parents will be waiting their turn. We will not be able to reschedule missed conferences until all appointments are finished. We will only reschedule once as it is very difficult to get a substitute to cover a teacher.
Conference Schedule
Ms. Emily Monday, March 17
Ms. XiaoKai Tuesday, March 18
Ms. Eileen Wednesday, March 19
Ms. Tanya Thursday, March 20
We are having school pictures taken on Thursday, March 6th. All children are encouraged to come have their picture taken Children who do not attend on Thursdays may also have their pictures taken. Please be on time as once the class picture has been taken the photographer goes on to the next group. Parents can wait in the school but cannot enter the classroom as the children become very agitated when parents are present. Their teachers will be in the room at all times. Parents can wait in the school until their child's picture is taken. We hope that everyone will have their pictures taken as this is also a fund raiser for our school.
In prior years a sitting fee for siblings was charged by the company, this year there will be no sitting fee. All siblings are welcome.

Ms. XiaoKai 9:20 - 9:50
Ms. Eileen 9:40 - 10:15

I will be leaving on vacation on March 10th until April 6th. Mrs. Jennifer Denza and Ms. Kaity Kapetan will be in charge of the school. The February fund raising meeting was rescheduled to Tuesday, March 4th at 6 p m. The March fund raising meeting is on March 28 at 6 p. m.
We have noticed that many children are coming to school without the proper winter clothing. The Health Department regulations specify that children go outside at least twice a day to get fresh air, that includes cold weather. We, of course, do not send the children out if it is raining or the temperature is below 25 degrees. If there is snow on the ground, the children go out properly dressed. I realize that parents don't necessarily agree with Health Department regulations however we are obliged to follow their directives. Therefore, we suggest that every child have snow pants, boots, gloves, scarves and any other appropriate clothing in school. Children will go out. If a child is ill they should not be in school, the child should be home in bed.
The hinge on the front gate was again broken yesterday. Luckily, my husband was able to fix it otherwise it would have been very expensive to repair. I would appreciate it if the children would not swing from it; the door could come loose and hurt them badly. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
The Prekindergarten has been working very hard on a desert theme. We would like all parents to see the story they wrote and the pictures they made. Their work is hanging on the wall along the staircase leading to their classroom.
We will be sending out summer registration applications April 1st. There are only 18 spaces available due to renovations to be done over the summer on the second floor. Thus priority will be given to children who attend full and extended days. Those applications are due by April 14th. After April 14th we will take applications for part time children.
